In summary, COPES-SA has a three-pronged
service-delivery approach, viz.:

• 40% Community Development - capacity building for community
   members, Skills-development and Income-generating projects.
• 40% Research and Training – research on culture-sensitive modes   of healing; the incidence and prevalence of abuse, why children get   abused, etc., and
• 20% Clinical Services – medical assessments for abused children,   colposcopic evaluation of the injuries, and counselling for all abuse
  victims.
